Molerets and its fossils are a unique treasure trove of evidence of the planet’s vicissitudes. The thousands of objects in the collection not only document over 500 different species, from turtles to flowers. They also document life’s adaptations from high tropical heat to more temperate conditions.
The objects in our collection are used for education, but just as much for research. This is done in our quest to learn more about a time long gone. Objects from the museum’s collection are also loaned to researchers from around the world who use them in their research. Thus, it is the collections that enable the museum to conduct collection-based research.
