Fur Museum – where the island’s history lives

A museum with many experiences! At Fur Museum you can experience the past through the many different exhibitions. In addition to world-class fossils, you can also experience the history of prehistoric supervolcanoes, the island’s landscapes and subsoil, and life on Fur over the last many centuries.

On Fur’s southwest coast you can experience Fur’s sandy harbor. In a restored bottom net house, Fur Museum has created a satellite exhibition that tells the history of the harbor and the decline of Limfjord fishing.

Throughout the year, a wide range of events take place; guided tours, lectures, holiday activities, live entertainment and much more.
