Topics that can be addressed as desired: Stone carving, piers, volcanism, ice ages, animals and water quality at the Limfjord.Fur Museum can offer to bring a nature guide/geologist to the beach. On the beaches along Fur’s coasts, you can find stones that tell the story of the coming and disappearance of dinosaurs, how the Ice Ages have shaped the landscape, giant volcanoes in Greenland and much much more. On this hike, the emphasis will be on the variety of rocks that exist and the stories they can tell. There will also be the opportunity to include what else we find in the way of snail shells, shells, seaweed, etc. to talk about life in the fjord.
